How to Register Students

When the SkillsBuild for Students Support Team replies to your org account request, they will include unique registration URLs that can be sent out to your students and peers for self-registration.
The URL is directly linked to your user ID and your organization ID so that when new users are registered through it, they will populate in your school or organization. The custom URL will look like this:
https://students-auth.skillsbuild.org/?org=0001&mgr=001810REG&lang=en

Here is an example of the actual email you will receive. Make sure to check your spam folder in case you don’t see the email in a maximum of 2 days.
The first custom link is the one you would be giving to your set of students (your classroom).
This is an important step because you will only have admin capabilities over students who are registered to you using your custom url.

The second link can be shared with peers, other teachers/admins in your school/organization.
Once they register using this link, they’ll also receive their own link to be shared with their students.

This is a perfect option for teachers/administrators who wish to have a Digital Success Team member register your students via bulk upload.

If your students are not above the age of digital consent in your country, they will need to have a parental consent form signed in order to use SkillsBuild for Students.

As school year ends,  your students may not be part of your cohort anymore, however they can still keep up their learnings on IBM SkillsBuild.

You may want to remove them from your class/reports, if so, please email us at [email protected] and we’ll do it for you.

As mentioned, these students will not lose access to IBM SkillsBuild, they will only no longer be managed by you.
